Survivors Reunite was established in 2007, by a survivor of Domestic Violence. In which her and her 3 kids then survived a
7 and half year abusive marriage. She has experience how hard it was to try to escape, stay away, and be dragged down the criminal justice
system and had uneducated domestic violence child welfare, attorney, and police involvement. In which cause a cripple with her trying to
escape. Along with society and the community turning a blind eye when she was crying out for help. Along with multiple restraining orders,
marriages and divorce, births with the same abuser. She had learned not knowing you're victims rights, laws and resources had crippled the
effect of escaping an abusive situation sooner. She did not have the knowledge and resources to survive safely, financially  to STAY OUT of
an abusive situation. This is why SURVIVORS REUNITE was established! To make sure every victim we can reach, will get all the knowledge
and resources nationwide. To receive all the help they can get to get out and stay out of an abusive situation at the same time staying safe!

The website is DESIGNED to be a tool for ALL Survivors and Volunteers to use as their own website. They get the
opportunity to volunteer as simply sending us up to date information for the website in there local state and town to help others. They can
pass along information of community events ad new laws. Or they can get super involved and become a "Head Leader" or "Assistance
Leader" in their own local state. They can provide information to there "Home State" web page on Survivors Reunite. I'm here to volunteer
and guide leaders and update their states home page with events, fund raisers and more! I provide business cards for Leaders and an
"email" for each individual volunteer leader here at Survivors Reunite website. I help guide them by providing ballet and petition forms to
print out and more!

Basically Survivors Reunite is a group of survivors and citizens nationwide, helping others to not go through what previous
victims and survivors have been through.

This is the number one reason why Survivors Reunite came together, to fight back against Domestic Violence. It's through the laws,
education on facts of domestic violence and knowledge of what are healthy relationships, knowing you have options, learning your rights as
a crime victim, knowing state resources that give victim of domestic violence help, and knowing the laws under victim rights, that are going to
make a difference. If we had better laws to help better serve and protect the victims. More victims would get out of an Domestic Violence/
abusive relationships. Knowing the laws would "NOT" force them back into harms ways of the abuser or make surviving being a survivor
even harder. We have come to learn that there are more rights for abusers (defendants) then there are for crime victims. We believe getting
the community involved will change our future to protect Victims of Domestic Violence.

We can not sit around and wait for society to change the laws for us. We as survivors nationwide need to reunite and make our voices
heard! We need to make the laws change. The laws are not going to change on their own anytime soon or fast enough without us breaking
the silence, to help educate the public about Domestic Violence. We can not wait around for more victims of all kinds to get hurt or go
through what we have to realize, the laws/ legal system is not completely set up to protect victims under victims rights. Currently there are
several states that (do not have laws) like Oregon and other states to (PROTECT VICTIMS) and their families from Domestic Violence. As
you read through the website you will learn about laws in place to help victims and not found in several other states.

We already come in (NUMBERS)! In numbers we can make anything happened! That is where people like our selves, that decide to step
forward that are driven to make a difference.
Making it easier and safer for survivors to survive and harder for abusers to abuse.
Making it safer for future generation's to come and educate the public and save lives from Domestic Violence! We as one are going to fight
for every victim to not have to go through what we have experienced or any other survivor had to go through to try to stay safe and
surviving. Were not just changing the laws were also getting out awareness and education.
Go to our Volunteer Page to get involved. Send
us a message on our contact page, to become a volunteer leader or if you have other concerns or questions you may have.
